Doris Rose Fleck

February 3, 1937 - January 27, 2022

Gardner-Doris Rose (Arsenault) Fleck, 84, died Thursday, January 27,2022 at Heywood Hospital after a year long battle with Congestive Heart failure and a stroke. She leaves her husband of 64 years, Eugene J. Fleck; two children, Jamie Fleck and his wife Jayne of E. Templeton and Susan DiPasquale and her husband Mark of Phillipston; two of her nieces that she raised, Maria Fleck and her husband Jose Estrada of CA and Rita Donelan of MD; seven grandchildren, Tyler DiPasquale of Gardner, Marcus DiPasquale of Marlborough, Tracey Fleck of Phillipston, Scott Fleck of Lunenburg, Patrick Flynn of E. Templeton, Amanda Saunders of UT and Ryan Donelan of NH; one great-grandson, Anthony Fleck; two brothers, Robert Arsenault and his wife Charlene of Templeton and Paul Arsenault and his wife Sharon Penski of Gardner; and several nieces and nephews. Doris is predeceased by a brother, George Arsenault and her best friend for 82 years Priscilla Pultorak. Doris was born in Gardner on February 3, 1937 a daughter of the late Christopher and Anita (Savoie) Arsenault. She was a 1955 graduate of Gardner High School. She and Eugene were married in 1957. She worked as a bookkeeper for Eugene's business, Gene's Service Center in Gardner for over 60 years. She was the co-founder of the Elm Street Schools Library. She taught CCD for Holy Spirit Church, she was a troop leader for the brownies and the girl scouts. She was in several 10 Pin bowling leagues, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting and traveling on vacation. She truly loved being around people, especially her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Doris's family would like to acknowledge and thank Gardner Care Central for their care during this time. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.
