Veronica E. Mikulskis

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts we share that our beloved sister, Veronica E. Mikulskis, passed away peacefully on October 22nd , 2025 at Heywood Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. 

Veronica, 78, was born in Germany on October 17, 1947 to the late Stanley Mikulskis and Matilda (Shillingaite) Mikulskis, and immigrated to America as a child with her brother and sister. Veronica lived in Athol for the majority of her life, and she attended and graduated from Athol High School and North Hampton Junior College. 

She worked for Hartford Insurance Company in Hartford, CT, then for Arthur D. Little Co. in Cambridge, MA, working as an accountant for about 30 years. Veronica cherished her time with her family and friends, loved gardening, traveling, photography, listening to music, and loved animals, especially her late dog, Champ. 

She was a very loyal family member and friend who would always be willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed it and never expected anything in return. 

Veronica leaves behind her four sisters; Donna (Mel) Thomas of Orange, MA, Laima (Bob) Manseau of Agawam, MA, Beruta (Rey) Augustine of Deerfield, MA, and Kristina (Dean) Farnum of Athol, MA, her three brothers; Vytautas, Alphonse, and Anthony all of Athol, MA , She also leaves behind nephews; Eric Thomas, Rey Jr. and Kyle Augustine, Michael, Andrew, and David Farnum, and nieces, Kristal Thomas and Emily Farnum. 

Veronica is predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Matilda, her sister, Ingrita, and her brother, Jeronimas. 

Veronica was a quiet and gentle woman of dignity and moral integrity and had a wonderful sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by those fortunate enough to have known her. 

Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 9:30-10:30 AM at Mack Family Funeral Homes, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange, MA. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 101 Main St., Athol, MA. 

Her Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, Fielding Way, Athol, MA.
