Theresa “Tre” Battaini passed away on October 19, 2025 and left an indelible mark on the world and the hearts of those who loved her. The daughter of Edmond J. Landry Sr. and Lillian R. Charest, she was born on April 19, 1932, in Athol, MA. Tre was a beacon of light and love who touched countless lives with her warmth, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a woman of many talents, ranging from golfing to sewing to baking to woodworking.
In her early years, she utilized her swimming skills as a lifeguard and later honed her competitive edge as a pitch player. After raising her 10 children, Tre became an accomplished artist, creating wonderful paintings, worked as a hostess at The Boardroom Restaurant, and as a member of the Ellinwood Country Club, she managed the 19th hole and was known for her fabulous variety of sandwiches and amazing cheeseburgers.
Tre was never one to seek accolades or recognition, believing her greatest achievements was her enduring marriage of 62 years and the loving family she raised. Her family of 10 children and 20 grandchildren was her world, each one a testament to her unwavering love and care. Her faith was a guiding force, ensuring each of her children was baptized, made their first communion, and confirmation. Despite her many talents and accomplishments, what mattered most to Tre was family. Whether in her birth place of Athol, MA; the sunny climates of The Villages, FL; or her final residence in Belchertown, MA, Tre’s home was wherever her family was.
Preceded in death by her husband William Sr., her parents Edmond and Lillian Landry, her sons William Jr., John, and Danny Battaini; her siblings Jean, Robert, and Edmond Landry Jr.; and great granddaughter Kaylin Waclawski, Tre’s spirit lives on in those she leaves behind. She is survived by her loving children: Peggy Battaini, Sally (Lane) Teittinen, Terry (John) Cloutier, Judy (David) Corey, Angelo (MaryAnn) Battaini, Joseph (Lisa Davis) Battaini, and Tammy (Matthew) Caissie; her daughter-in-law, Mary Battaini; and her siblings Joyce Rousselle, Roland Landry, and Rev. Francis Landry, CP. To all, she was not just “Tre”, but a treasure, a source of boundless love and support, always ready with her endearing saying, “I love you more”.
