Suzanne M. Quader

ATHOL - Suzanne M. (Gionet) Quader, 88 of 287 Intervale Ave., Athol, died Friday, June 23, 2006, in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol. She was born in Caraquet New Brunswick, Canada, on September 24, 1917, the daughter of the late George and the late Mary (Blanchard) Gionet. She was a resident of Athol for 73 years. She was a dedicated communicant of Our Lady Immacualte Church, the former president for 14 years of the Catholic Women´s League of the church. She was a member of the Catholic friends, the Golden Ages and the AARP. She enjoyed crafts, playing cards, cooking and having fish frys with family and friends. She was employed at the J.F. McElwain Shoe Company and the L.S. Starrett Company. She leaves one son, John G. Quader of Athol; one grandson, Jason G. Quader of Fitchburg; her adopted son, Clarence Blanchard of Athol; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Alphonse "Al" F. Quader who died in 2003, by a son, James Quader who died in 1968, by two sisters, Laura Deyo who died in 1959 and Sister Yvonne Gionet, and by a brother, Edgar Gionet who died in 2003. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at 10:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol. Calling hours will be held Monday, June 26, 2006, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8:00 PM at the J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Athol, MA.
