Sandra Ann Jillson

ATHOL - Sandra Ann (Emery) Jillson, 84 of Athol, died Monday, April 4, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lebanon, NH, on March 16, 1938, the daughter of the late Charles Emery and the late Alice (Bliss) Emery. Sandra grew up in Lebanon, NH and graduated from Lebanon High School. She graduated from Westfield State Sanatorium with her LPN. Sandra worked at Athol Hospital for 50 years retiring in 2009, she proudly wore her white nursing uniform and nurses cap every day. She received the Humanitarian Award in 1997. She enjoyed Wells, Maine, reading, crocheting, knitting and time spent with her family. She leaves one daughter, Marian Jillson of Athol; three sons, Donald C. Jillson of Orange, Frank Jillson of Athol, Howard Jillson of Orange; ten grandchildren, Daniel Bowers II, Bryan Bowers, William Partridge, Lewis Partridge, Cody Colon, Briar-Rose Colon, Sondra Jillson, Emilie Jillson, Annabell Jillson, Lilly Jillson; three great grandchildren, Aleah Clayton, Alice Van Dam, Emery Lee Lotman; nieces and nephews, Murial Holden, Lee Holden, Keith Holden, Christina Postera, Paula Chenausky, Allen Emery, Laura Adams, Lisa DeBartolom, Lorna Bickerdyk, son in-law, Marlin Hunter. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Jillson, two daughters, Alice Hunter, Rose-Marie Jillson, by three sisters, Jacqualine Holden, Shirley Dahill, Verna Green; by one brother, Lewis Emery; and by two daughter in-laws, Denise Jillson, Melanie Jillson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 9:30 - 11:00 am at the funeral home.
