Russell W. Sedgwick

PHILLIPSTON, MA — Russell Sedgwick born May 19, 1969, has passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family. He had a long battle with lung cancer for the 3rd time in life. 

He is a 1988 graduate of Monty Tech. After graduation he married his high school sweetheart; Althea. Together they had three sons. 

Russell worked at Simons Saw Ind. from 1989 to 2019 when he retired. He loved his family, the outdoors, four wheeling in his jeep and fly fishing. 

He leaves behind his wife, Althea, two sons, Joel and Cody, his mother, Kim Sedgwick, sisters, Wendy Hess and Lindsey Aubchon. He was predeceased by his son Casey Sedgwick, Ann Sedgwick and Keith Swenson Sr.

 A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 11:00am at Silver Lake Cemetery, Silver Lake St., Athol, MA.
