ATHOL - Russell Holt, 79, of Athol, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 in Athol. He grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School. Mr. Holt was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army where he served for 6 years, was an expert Rifleman and received the Infantryman Badge. Russell worked as a Bus Driver for 50 years; BAS Produce for 30 years; was a T.V. Repair for 30 years He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and was an Assistant Scoutmaster. He enjoyed Snowmobiling, Fishing, Hunting, Ceramics, Camping, Boating and Spending time with his family. He leaves his wife: Christel R. Holt of Athol; one son: Christopher T. Holt and his wife Lynn M. Holt of Athol; one daughter: Lisa M. Holt of Athol; three brothers: Ronald E. Holt of Colchester, CT, Hank Holt of Cape Cod, MA., Shayne Gordon of Athol; one sister, Darlene Shatz of Athol; three grandchildren: Bryan K. Holt, Amanda L. Comstock, Savannah M. Holt all of Athol; nine great grandchildren: Riley Comstock of Cape Cod, Zachary Comstock of Cape Cod, Emma Comstock of Cape Cod, Marissa Roberts, Gabriel Roberts, Sophie Roberts, Lorelai Roberts, Rose Holt, Ivy Holt all of Athol; a nieces and nephews: Cheryl Holt Purcell, Sammy Holt, Dennis Holt, Shannon Holt Page , Missy Holt McLean, Jason Ruttle, Zachary Gordon, Vincent Gordon , Lindsey Hamlett and Alexis Hamlett .
