In Loving Memory of
Roy A. Goodwin
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roy A. Goodwin. Roy passed away peacefully on September 28, 2023 with his family by his side.
He was born in Leominster, MA, son of the late Roy F. Goodwin and Winifred P (DeVarney) Goodwin Boudreau and was a lifelong resident of Gardner. Roy known for his loving and kind nature touched the lives of everyone he met.
Roy loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping and found great peace in nature.
Roy's kindness and warm-heartedness were a testament to the goodness that can be found in people. He had an enduring spirit that brightened the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. His memory will be forever cherished by his family and friends.
Roy is survived by his three sons, Roy Goodwin and his wife Kristin, Cory Duplease and his wife Amanda, and Kyle Duplease. He leaves behind eight grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Roy leaves his siblings Robert Goodwin, Patricia Boisvert, Lee Boudreau, Jr., and Marcus Boudreau. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Steven Goodwin, Dean Boudreau, Michael Boudreau, Brian Boudreau, and Keith Boudreau who was recently called home.
A memorial service to celebrate Roy's life will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 7:00 p.m., at Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations to be made in Roy's honor to the Gardner Community Action Committee Food Pantry, 294 Pleasant Street, Gardner, MA, or gardnercac.org
May we find comfort in the knowledge that Roy is now resting in eternal peace.
