Richard N Jillson

ATHOL - Richard N. Jillson, 87 of 667 Lenox Street, Athol, died Monday, April 12, 2021 at home. He was born in Athol, on December 21, 1933, the son of the late Leroy F. Jillson and the late Evelyn M. (LeClair) Jillson. He grew up and lived in Athol all of his life, graduating from Athol High School in 1952. He graduated from L. S. Starrett tool makers program in 1957. He was a former member of the Highland Young Men's Club, and a member of the Athol-Orange Lodge of Elks #1837 for over 41 years, he also served on the Camp Wiyaka Committee for 15 years and in the National Guard from 1951 to 1958. He leaves one daughter with whom he lived, Susan A. Batchelor of Athol; one son, Douglas R. Jillson of Orange; four grandchildren and two great grandsons. He was predeceased by his wife, Janice (Ackroyd) Jillson and by two brothers, Leroy F. Jillson and Robert H. Jillson. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 1:00pm in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol. There are no calling hours.
