Reginald J. Laffond

Reginald J. Laffond, 36, died suddenly, November 2, 2021 at Athol Memorial Hospital after an illness. He leaves his longtime partner of seven years, Ashley Shaw; his twin sons, Dawson and Dylan Laffond; one daughter, Alyssa Shaw; his parents, Reginald and Denise (Thayer) Laffond; one sister, Mallory Laffond and her partner Ethan Willhite; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Thayer; his maternal grandfather, Robert Thayer and his wife Judy all of Athol; three nieces, Cadence, Sophie and Cassadee; one nephew, Landon; six aunts and uncles, Ted and Mary Mallet of Athol, Brian and Debbie Laffond of Lunenburg and Bill and Laura Laffond of Earlysville, VA; eight cousins, TJ Mallet, Caitlyn Woodard, Ashley Hill, Alison LeBlanc, Kate Zane, Jeff Laffond, Kevin Laffond and Julia Laffond; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Carol Shaw. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Richard Laffond and MaryLee Meuse. Reginald was born in Greenfield on February 12, 1985. He graduated from Athol High School, attended Mount Wachusett Community College and was a certified EMT. He worked as a supervisor for Spectrum Plastics. He enjoyed playing soccer, basketball, baseball and softball. He was a huge New England sports fan and loved watching them on tv. He loved animals, especially his cats. He also liked playing his guitar and singing. Reggie got his greatest joy from spending time with his family, children, nieces, nephews and close friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 12 Noon in the Fiske Murphy and Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange, MA 01364, There will be calling hours from 10:00 - 12 Noon prior to the funeral service in the funeral home. His burial will be private. Due to Covid regulations, masks are required at the funeral home.
