ATHOL- Ralph E. Bowers, 73, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020, at Quabbin Valley Healthcare. He was born in Gardner on September 17, 1947, son of Lillian M. (Chaisson) Bowers and the late Elwin T. Bowers. Ralph graduated from Athol High School in 1966. He worked for several years as a toy assembler for Orange Foundry & N.D. Cass Co. He was a collector of baseball cards. He was a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church in Athol. The last 3 years he loved living at Quabbin Valley. He enjoyed all the activities and made many friends. He is survived by his sister Georgia; step-brother, Dennis Kelly of Marlborough; step-sister, Anne E. Brazili of Fitchburg; nieces, Carrie (Ken) Collins, Ann (Bruce) Emery both of Athol; nephew, Wayne Phillips of Nashville, TN; great niece, Hannah Morton; and great nephews, Kyle Emery and Brian Emery. He was predeceased by his mother, Lillian; sister, Madelaine; brother, Lewis; and his nephew, David Maijala of Pennsylvania. The family will have a grave side service in the spring.
