Paula M. (Toland) Breton, 67, a longtime Gardner resident, died Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Alliance Health at Baldwinville.
Paula was born in Fitchburg on September 23, 1958, the daughter of Philip and Yvette (Cormier) Toland.
Anyone who knew Paula knew she was fierce, stubborn, and deeply devoted to her family. She loved the beach, camping, and spending an afternoon watching the Food Network. Her favorite place, however, was surrounded by the people she loved. Sunday family dinners were a tradition she treasured, and she looked forward to every opportunity to gather her family together. Her strength, love, and presence will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.
She is survived by her loving husband, Alan Breton of Gardner; her son, Todd Breton and his wife, Liz, of Templeton; her daughter, Jamie Lavoie and her husband, James, of Worcester; her beloved grandchildren, Anabell Ring and Teagan Breton of Templeton, Ophelia Lavoie of Worcester, and Juliana Hagopian-Breton of Gardner; her cherished great-grandchildren, Liliana and Dominic Marro of Gardner; and her sisters, Barbara Malboeuf of Fitchburg and Phyllis Hine of Athol.
Paula’s love extended far beyond her immediate family. She was a second mother to Libby Faherty, Raul Feliciano, and Kevin Goguen, all of whom held a special place in her heart and remained part of her family throughout her life.
She was predeceased by her parents, Philip and Yvette Toland; her beloved son, Jesse Breton; her brother, Wayne Toland; and several brothers-in-law and dear friends.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff at Alliance Health at Baldwinville for the compassionate care they provided to Paula during her time there. Special thanks are extended to Abby and Sherry for their kindness, support, and dedication.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, June 18th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Mack Family Funeral Homes, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m.
