It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Francis Buckley, born on July 7, 1936 in Athol Massachusetts.

Paul was a chef by trade and spent his career working in a variety of restaurants and nursing homes in the Worcester County area. He Retired in 2019 from Ciao Bella’s in Worcester after dedicating several decades to his craft. He was also known for his love of horse racing, spending many years Sulky racing at the Hinsdale Race Track. He took immense pleasure in owning and racing horses and later breeding West Highland White Terriers, Beagles and Angora rabbits with his beloved wife Arline. These shared passions led to their participation in hundreds of shows across New England winning a variety of awards over the years. He was a member of the American Kennel Club and American Rabbit Breeders Association. Paul’s love for sports was also evident in his avid support for the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots, and his fondness for golf.

Paul enjoyed taking leisurely rides to Maine and Vermont for Breakfast or Lunch, simply to enjoy the journey, change of scenery and of course the good food.

He is survived by his daughters, Michelle (Nick) Troiano and Karen (John) Grant, his grandchildren, Joshua Babineau, Kacie LaRoche, Jenny Gabrenas, Kathleen Weatherby, Christine Weatherby, Andy Slattery, Jennifer Casey, his great-grandchildren, Chase Babineau, Aubrey Babineau, Brielle Lepkowski, Olivia Narkevicius, Hailey Gabrenas, Reyna Slattery and Liam Slattery and 4 Great Great-Grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by his father Francis Buckley, his mother, Eileen Deere, his loving wife, Arline Buckley, sister, Yvonne Buckley, Step-Children, Bryan Coe, Charlene Slattery and Raymond Coe.

In keeping with the wishes of Paul there will be no funeral services.
