Patrick Michael Perry passed peacefully in his home of over 40 years on March 20, 2026. He resided in the town of Royalston, Massachusetts, surrounded by the love of his family and the canine companions he cherished so deeply.
Patrick was born August 22, 1953, in Oakland, CA to Manuel & Marion Perry. Pat was raised as a baby until the age of 4 by beloved foster parents Chuck & Agnes Amico who were the foundation of his life. He was then raised in Lowell, MA with many brothers and sisters that he loved very much.
Patrick is survived by his wife of over 50 years Holly Perry and his two loving daughters, Victoria Cairl (James Cairl) of Peekskill, NY and Emily Cummings (Thomas Cummings) of Athol, MA. Pat was known as "Nunu" to his 5 grandchildren Madeline Cairl, Ava Cairl, Hailey Cummings, Landon Cummings & Finn Cairl.
Patrick graduated from Westford Academy in Westford, MA. He worked for Digital Equipment for 16 years starting in the mill in Maynard, MA & ending his career in Marlborough, MA. After leaving Digital, he started his dog boarding, training, and hunting business in Royalston, MA. Hedgerow Kennel & Hunt Club and was in business for almost 40 yrs before retiring in July 2025.
Pat was both a judge and competitor across the US and Canada in both English Springer Spaniel and English Cocker Spaniel field trials and hunt tests. He also was a competitive trap shooter and a life member of the ATA. Pat was also a former member of the Royalston Fish & Game Club in Royalston, MA.
Pat had many interests and hobbies such as he was a self-taught guitarist, golden gloves boxer, a writer & published poet, he loved the Beatles, playing Wii with his grandkids, golfing, fishing, hunting, and an avid New England Sports Fan.
We would like to thank the caring staff at Beacon Hospice for their care and support during the last 2 weeks.
In lieu of flowers, we would like to suggest a donation in Patrick's name to St. Jude's Hospital for Children or Special Olympics.
