Patricia A. Lucier, a woman of resilience and compassion, passed away at the age of 90 on January 27, 2024. Born on January 25, 1934, in Gardner, Massachusetts, Patricia, was a 1952 Graduate of Gardner High School.

Patricia's career was a journey of service that began at Simplex Time Recorder, where she worked from 1980 to 1989, mastering the intricate workings of Microsoft Office. Her dedication and commitment to her work led her to the Gardner Community Action Committee, Inc., where she served as a receptionist from 1990 to 1995. Patricia's unwavering commitment to her community never faltered, and she moved on to the State office of Green Thumb from 1995 to 1997. Patricia then returned to the Gardner Community Action Committee as a Program Coordinator in 1997 and continued to make a difference until her retirement in 1998. 

In her personal life, Patricia was a devout member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Gardner. Patricia is survived by her son, Richard Lucier, and his wife Dale, Michael Lucier, Gary Lucier, David Lucier, and his wife Betsy, Robert Lucier, and his wife Janet; seven grandchildren, Michael, Mark, Matthew, Jonathan, Nicolas, Valerie, and Stephanie; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her companion, Daniel Pierce; her special niece, Gail Person; several other nieces and nephews;  She was preceded by her parents, Walter and Dorothy (Murray) Matson, and one son, Steven Lucier, one daughter, Donna Adam, and her husband Wayne Adam; and her former husband Homer Lucier. 

She enjoyed watching Westerns, playing pool, and caring for her daughter Donna. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and always had a joke and left you with a smile and a joke. She also will be remembered for her sparkling blue eyes and her sweet smile. 

Patricia's life was a melody of love, service, and resilience that will continue to echo in the hearts of those she touched. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will forever inspire those who knew her. 

Calling hours will be from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024, in the Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date. 

Her family would like to give a special thank you to Hanover Hospice for their care and dedication to Patricia.
