LEOMINSTER-Oysai Chanthachack, 89, died Saturday, April 3, 2021 at his home after an illness. He leaves four sons, Somdee Chanthachack of FL, Sivisay Chanthachack of Canada, Sivisack Chanthachack and his wife Mout, with whom he lived, and Phet Chanthachack of NC; two daughters, Kasone Chanthachack of France and Tanh Chanthachack of Gardner; one daughter-in-law Lisa Chanthachack of Leominster; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Thonkham Chantachack who died in 2014. He was born on November 12, 1931 in Luang Numta, Laos. When he lived in Laos, he was educated in the Medical file. He worked with Missionary doctors; Dr. Tom Dooley, Dr. Chini and Dr. Jose. He was also the Ambassador to the Laos Embassy in 1955. When he moved to the US he worked as a paper maker for the James River Paper Co in Fitchburg. He loved to write in english, he put labels on everything. He also enjoyed watching movies. He was always smiling and happy. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker Street, Leominster, MA. His funeral will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. followed by him being cremated according to his religious customs.
