Nancy R Maynard

Nancy Ruth Maynard, 62 of Greenfield, Ma formerly of Athol, MA passed away on April 20, 2022 at Vantage of South Hadley. Nancy was born on August 18, 1959, a daughter of the late Roger and Helen (Larson) Maynard. She was raised in Athol, Ma. After a long illness with kidney disease. Nancy leaves a sister and her lifelong partner Randall Parrot including their beloved pets Rodney, Luka, Shadow, and Buddy. She also leaves her aunt and several cousins. Nancy’s relatives in Sweden meant a lot to her. She loved visiting with them and showing pictures and telling stories she has with them. Nancy was very close with Luke and Jake Fairman. She loved them as if they were her own sons. Nancy graduated from Athol High School in 1978. She then went to Greenfield Community College and continued her education at Amherst College getting a degree in business. Nancy went to work at Greenfield Community Action, until she retired as the head secretary. Nancy considered the people she worked with her family and baked many goodies for them, which they loved. Nancy loved doing puzzles and giving them away as gifts. Cruise trips and sun bathing were her passion. Nancy was famous for creating cards with deep emotions for friends and family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Nancy Maynard to Franklin County Community Action, to donate by check, please make payable to ‘Community Action’ and send it to Community Action Attn: Jessye Deane, 393 Main Street, Greenfield, MA 01301. Services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 10-11am in Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange. Burial to follow at Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol.
