Mary H. Beasley

September 2, 1949 — April 11, 2026

Deerfield

Mary H. Beasley, born September 2, 1949, in Oxford, N.C., graced this world with her vibrant spirit for over 76 years.

Mary's life was a testament to resilience, grace, and unwavering dedication to her craft. Mary was a valued member of the community, known for her humility, quick wit, and infectious laughter. She spent a significant part of her life working as a Machine Operator at L.S. Starrett Company, a tool manufacturer where her tireless work ethic and attention to detail were greatly admired.

Mary was a woman of simple pleasures. Her passion for music was second to none; she loved nothing more than losing herself in the rhythm and beats of live performances. The echoes of these melodies were a reminder of Mary's zest for life and the joy she derived from it. A fiercely independent woman, she never married, choosing instead to live life in her own unique way.

Her loved ones will remember her as a beacon of light, a source of strength, and a woman whose laughter could brighten the gloomiest of days. Mary is survived by her beloved brothers, Russell and Robert Beasley and two nieces, Michelle Lewis and Lynn Beasley. She joins in eternal peace her parents, Russel Beasley and Helen (Risatti), her longtime companion, James Young and her doting sister Judy Lewis.

We invite friends and loved ones to visit Mary's memorial page where you are encouraged to leave memories of Mary and upload photographs below that capture the moments that made her life special. Her story is not just in the past, but also in the memories that we carry forward.

A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate Mary's life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Gethsemane Cemetery, Fielding Way, Athol, MA.
