Mark Stephen Hagie, a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away unexpectedly on September 30th, 2026. Mark was born in Gardner, MA on September 29th, 1969. He was the son of Virginia (Smith) Wilder and graduated from Narragansett Regional High School in Templeton, MA in 1987. As a young man, he proudly earned the rank of Eagle Scout, an accomplishment that reflected the kindness, dedication, leadership, and strong sense of service that remained a meaningful part of who he was throughout his life. He has worked in the environmental consulting industry as an Environmental Field Technician since the mid-1990s.
Mark was a Patriots fan and enjoyed watching the games every Sunday during football season. He loved playing golf most weekends when he could and always had a dad joke ready to share. Mark had a passion for fishing and hunting. His heart was always at its fullest when he was surrounded by the tranquil beauty of nature especially mornings overlooking Randall Pond in Maine, one of his favorite places to be.
Mark was not just defined by his occupation and hobbies. At his core, he was a family man through and through. He was always there supporting his two boys in everything they did. His time spent as a youth football coach was a testament to his dedication to not only his own boys but also their teammates. He was a beloved figure on the sideline over the years, cheering on his Lions and Chargers. As the late Maya Angelou once stated, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Mark's legacy will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he touched.
Mark's love for his family was simply immeasurable, as was their love for him. He is survived by his wife, Tammie (Morin) Hagie, sons Drew and Chase Hagie, parents Virginia and Eugene Wilder, sisters Denise Moulton (husband Craig) and Deborah Hagie and nieces Summer, Olympia and Ivory Moulton. He also leaves behind many family members and friends that he considered his family. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved him.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 10th from 10 AM - 12 PM at Mack Family Funeral Homes, Gardner - Chapel, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA.
