Marjorie (Fucile) (Poirier) Sokolowski died February 10, 2026, at the age of 100 years. Born August 11, 1925, to Sicilian newcomers Henry “Enrico” and Nancy “Annunziata” (D’Amico) Fucile.
Marjorie was a Gardner High School graduate with the Class of 1943. She was a proud volunteer for the USO during WWII, entertaining and supporting American troops. Marjorie spent nearly all of her working years as a Customer Service Executive for Domestic and International Sales for the Simplex Time Recorder Company.
She is survived by her children, Alan Poirier and wife Sharon, Gerald Poirier and wife Donna, stepchildren Kurt Sokolowski, Sharon Leger, and Rosemary Southwick. Marjorie also leaves numerous adoring grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
Predeceased by family members, husbands Gerald Poirier (1951) and Wacy Sokolowski (1991), siblings Joseph Fucile, Frank Fucile, Henry Fucile Jr., Antonia Heald, Martha Richard, Stella Smith, Norma Couillard, grandchildren Alan Poirier Jr, Gerald Poirier III, stepchildren John Sokolowski and Tina Geis.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 1 pm in the Mack Family Funeral Home, Gardner Chapel, 105 Central St. Burial in St. John's Cemetery will be in the spring.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 12 - 1 pm in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marjorie's name to Annunciation Parish, 135 Nichols St., Gardner, MA 01440.
