Marilla C. Lupien

Belchertown

Belchertown- Marilla C.(Miller) Lupien 93, died Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the Center for Extended Care in Amherst after an illness. 

She was the wife of the late Louis C. Lupien who died in 1972.

She leaves two daughters, Alana Sambor of Belchertown, and Candyce Wetherby of North Leverett; three sons, Eric R Lupien of Greenfield, Harry L Lupien, and Wayne F. Lupien both of Orange; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. 

Marilla is predeceased by her son Louis A. Lupien, a step-daughter, Sharon Nault; two sisters, Marilyn F. Letourneau and Stella A. Wilde and her Grandson Nate Lupien. 

She was born in Greenfield, MA on November 16, 1929, a daughter of the late, Harry and Marjorie (Putnam) Miller. She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1947. Marilla worked at Sogards Tools for many years and also for Erving Paper. 

She enjoyed all forms of puzzles, baking and decorating cakes. She touched the hearts of all who met her. But her most treasured moments were with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

A graveside service will be held on Friday March 31st at 10 am at the Wendall Cemetery, Wendall, MA. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to the American Lung Association at Lung.org.
