Lorraine M. Cormier

July 1, 1951 — March 5, 2024

Gardner

Lorraine M. Cormier found eternal rest on March 5th, 2024. Lorraine was Born in St. Damien, New Brunswick, Canada on July 1st, 1951. Her journey led her to Gardner, Massachusetts, where she lovingly fostered a home and family that reflected her values.

For 18 fulfilling years, Lorraine served as a dedicated Nurses Aide at Wachusett Manor, where she used her nurturing spirit to provide comfort to those in need. A woman of faith, she was an active member of the Holy Rosary Church, finding solace and strength in her spiritual path. Yet, it was within the simple pleasures of life where Lorraine truly thrived. Whether it was the thrill of calling out "Bingo," with her sisters  cheering her on, the laughter shared over the card game “waiting”, the exhilarating anticipation of a casino slot machine, or the serene enjoyment of a car ride, she found joy in every moment. Her love for her family was paramount, most evident in the precious time spent with her beloved granddaughter, Samantha, and her beloved great-grand-babies. The family trips to Maine and tranquil moments relaxing outside were the highlights of her life.

Lorraine's loving and devoted husband of 53 years Arthur Cormier, survives her, as do her granddaughter Samantha Rios and fiancé Curt Cormier; Granddaughter Rosabell Cormier; Grandsons Carlos Rios, Damien and Darien Cormier; Son John Cormier; Great-grandsons Dean and Callan Cormier; Son-in-law Armando Rios and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her sisters Simone Hamel, Nancy Thompson, and Tina Goodrich. Lorraine now joins in eternal peace her parents, Clement and Stella Cormier, her sisters Linda Krieger, May Melanson, Betty Valardi, and her brother Alcid (Clifford) Cormier, and her daughter Lena Rios who she admired and cherished.

Lorraine Cormier, a woman of loving heart will be greatly missed.
