Lillian Rose “Lilly” (Martioski) Newton, 81, of Troy, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully with her children and grandchildren at her side after a prolonged illness at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, on October 24, 2025. Born on January 22, 1944, in Gardner, Massachusetts, Lillian lived a life filled with love, dedication, and devotion to her family and community. Lillian began her career alongside her former husband, Willard Newton, where together they built Newton’s Ambulance, a family-founded business that served the community with compassion and care. A Nationally Certified EMT, Lillian devoted herself to helping others during their times of need. After the business closed, she continued her calling in healthcare as a certified nursing assistant for many years before later working as a sales clerk at Walmart in Rindge, New Hampshire, where she was known for her friendly smile and warm spirit. She retired after a long career of serving others. Outside of work, Lillian’s creativity and gentle nature shone through her love of ceramics, knitting, and crocheting. Her home and heart were filled with handcrafted treasures and the laughter of her beloved grandchildren. She found her greatest joy in time spent with family—especially her grandchildren—and cherished every visit from her granddogs Brewster, Lilly, and “her boys,” Oakley and Bodi. Lillian is survived by her loving children Timothy Newton and his wife Roxanne Newton of Smithville, Pennsylvania; Terri Dushion of Troy, New Hampshire; and Shawn Newton of Naugatuck, Connecticut.
