Gardner- LENA BETTEZ - Born October 9, 1925, in the Bronx, NY - passed away peacefully in Gardner Rehab on June 12, 2023.
A loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, Lena married Raymond Bettez of Gardner, MA, and together raised a daughter Diane in the Bronx.
After Raymond passed, Lena and Diane moved to Gardner to be closer to family, where Diane married David Lupaczyk
and bore a son, Eric. When Diane passed from cancer in 1988, Lena took over raising Eric with help from Eddie Bettez and family.
Lena's passions were baking, antiquing, restoring, great movies and cats. Lena and her niece shared a spot in an antiques center.
Lena is survived by her niece Jeanne Pleines and nephew John Pleines. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ana Pleines, beloved husband Raymond Bettez, brother John Pleines, beloved daughter Diane Lupaczyk, soulmate Eddie Bettez, and beloved grandson Eric Lupaczyk.
Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central Street, Gardner assisted with Lena's arrangements.
