Kermit Joseph Morris, 63, of 975 West Street, passed away on November 29, 2025, of pancreatic cancer at home with family by his side.
Kermit was born in Gardner on April 10th, 1962, the son of the late John A. and Margaret R. (Barwell) Morris. He grew up in Baldwinville until 1975, when he moved to Gardner and graduated from Gardner High in 1980.
Kermit worked his first job at Nichols & Stones while attending high school. After graduating, Kermit joined the Navy from 1980 to 1986. His basic training was in Orlando, Florida, and he attended A School in Dam Neck, Virginia. Upon leaving the service, he worked at S. Bents until they closed, then at Salooms until he moved to Ayer in 1996, where he worked at M&D Machine and finally ended his working career at Hollingsworth & Vose from 2002 until 2025, where he retired due to medical reasons.
Kermit met his late wife, Linda Gerrior, in 1996, and they married on December 31st, 2019. Kermit fully enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife, his family, as well as his many dogs and cats. He also enjoyed working, motorcycle riding, candlepin bowling, numerous board games, martial arts, riding his unicycle, weightlifting, going to the casino, camping, videotaping, playing the stock market, traveling, and going out to eat, especially at Lee's Hot Dog Stand.
Kermit will be sadly missed by his step daughter Kristina Sinclair, her spouse Shane Sinclair, and two grandchildren Gianna and Shane of Templeton; three brothers John B. Morris, of Orange, David Morris, his Irish Twin, of El Cajon, C.A., Paul R. Morris of Clinton and one sister Cindy L. Spofford of Gardner; several nieces and nephews and one great nephew and several cousins.
Kermit was predeceased by his wife Linda T. (Soares) Gerrior, on July 12, 2022.
