Sad to announce the passing of Kathleen (Kathy) Boulanger of Templeton. Kathleen went to be with her Savior on December 14, 2025. She will be missed by many family members and friends. She was born on November 4, 1952, in Chelsea, MA. Kathleen Mary (Marois-Alden) Boulanger, daughter of the late Katherine M. (Snodgrass) and Robert P. Marois of Templeton, MA. Her Dad served in the Navy, stationed in Chelsea, MA

She leaves 4 brothers and their wives, Bob and Karen of Florida, Jim Marois and Kathy Cormier of Templeton, Tim and Donna Marois of Gardner, and Bill and Mary Marois of Templeton.

She also leaves 1 sister and brother-in-law, with whom she made her home, Diane and Joel Thompson of Templeton

Kathy leaves her Daughter, Shelby Alden of Auburn, MA, and her son, Shawn Alden, and Milisa Buss of Buffalo, NY. And their 4 children. Shawn Jr, Shane, Zachery, and Lena.

She also leaves her grandson, Benjamin Alden of Auburn, and her granddaughter Brianna Brunetta of Auburn, and 2 great granddaughters, Mya Brunetta and Cora Alden, 2 great grandsons, Theodore and Noah Alden.

Kathy grew up in Fitchburg and was a 1971 Graduate of Fitchburg, MA High School. She lived most of her adult life in Gardner and Auburn.

Kathy loved her 3 best friends, Rose, Gail, and June, who were always there for her. They will definitely miss her. Kathy loved Bingo, Keno, and Lottery. She loved to visit Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun Casinos, and Twin River Casinos.

Kathy worked 37 years for Hanover Insurance Co., Worcester, MA, retiring in 2023. She has left many friends with whom she worked.

Kathy and her whole family were always involved in Drum and Bugle Corps, from a young age through Senior Corps in her 60s. She marched in the Joanettes of Leominster, Royal Cadets of Gardner, Kingsmen Senior Corps of Fitchburg, and Valley Airs Senior Corps of Northbridge.

Kathy recently became a Member of the Elks Club # 1426 of Gardner. Ma, where she made many friends. Always enjoyed helping them out on Bingo night. Volunteering wherever she could to help.

Kathy leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews, friends, and family.


    • A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, sometime in 2026.

  • Mack Family Funeral Home, Gardner Chapel, 105 Central St., Gardner, is in charge of arrangements.
