Joyce Arsenault

ASHBURNHAM-Joyce (O'Donnell) Arsenault, 88, died Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the Wachusett Manor. She was the wife of the late Elmer Arsenault. Joyce leaves her three children, Noel McGonigle and her husband, Justin of Ashburnham, Stephan Arsenault and his wife, Linda Duffy of Ashby, and Celeste Tyrrell and her husband, Marc Laurin of Concord, NH; five grandchildren, Helen McGonigle, Andre Arsenault, Andrew Tyrrell, Shannon Tyrrell and Sean Tyrrell and many nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by a son, Christopher Arsenault. Joyce was born in Ossining, NY, a daughter of the late Paul and Virginia (Ramsdell) O'Donnell. She graduated from Ba Albertis Magnus College in CT with her BA and from Tufts University with a Masters in Early Childhood Education. She worked as a substitute teacher in the arts department at J.R. Briggs Elementary School in Ashburnham and as a Librarian’s assistant at the Ashburnham Library. She was a longtime member of the former St. Ann's Church and St. Denis Church. She taught catechism at both churches. She enjoyed collecting dolls, knitting, her cats, reading, gardening, bird watching and the outdoors in general. Her funeral arrangements will be private at the St. Denis Cemetery at a later date.
