Josephine A. Lystila

Josephine Lystila age 78 lifelong resident of Gardner, MA passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022, of congestive heart failure.

She was born on January 24, 1944, in Providence, RI to Joseph and Josephine Baltakis, but lived in Gardner for 74 years.

Josephine worked as a housekeeper for the Gallant’s Rest Home and later for Wachusett Manor Nursing home. She was a loving mom of 2 children: Sky Pelletier and Patty Maciorowski who both continue to live in Gardner, MA. In addition to her children she leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Nancy Pelletier, son-in-law John Maciorowski and her 6 grandchildren: Robert Christian, Tiffani-Rose Christian, Patrick Christian, Jake Maciorowski, Luke Maciorowski and Kate Maciorowski.

She is predeceased by her husband Robert Lystila.

She loved to listen to country western music and dabble in various crafts like embroidery and painting by numbers. Most of all she loved her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held to commemorate her life on Friday, October 28 at 10:30 AM at Mack Family Funeral Home 105 Central St. in Gardner, MA.   Burial will be private.
