John M. Battaini

ATHOL - John Battaini, 66, of Athol died  Friday, April 7, 2023, at Wachusett Nursing Home, Gardner.

John was born in Athol on September 5th, 1956, a son of the late William J. Battaini and Theresa P. (Landry) Battaini.  He grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School.  John was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He worked for B&M Railroad for many years and loved sports.  

He leaves, one son, Anthony Battaini of MA,; a step-daughter, Nailil Martinelli of MA; his mother, Theresa Battaini of MA; siblings, Sally Teittinen of FL, Peggy Battaini of MA, Terry Cloutier of FL, Jody Corey of MA, Angelo Battaini of MA, Joseph Battaini of NH, Tammy Caissie of MA; many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Danny Battaini and William Battaini.

Funeral services and burial in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol will be private.
