Jill Pollard, 52, died Friday, October 15, 2021 at her home after an illness. Jill leaves her father, John Pollard of Gardner; one brother, Scott Pollard of Rexford, NY; two step-sisters, Margaret Price of TX, and Beane Rothenberg of MD; one step-brother, Michael O'Neill of NH and several nieces and nephews, She is predeceased by her mother Patricia (Henry) O’Neill; step-father, Samuel O’Neill; and a brother Glenn Pollard. Jill was born in Gardner on March 18, 1969. She graduated from Gardner High School and then from Salem State College with a BA in Journalism. In her youth she was a DJ known as Jill Scott at the WGAW. She enjoyed volunteering at the Heywood Hospital Gift Shop. She also enjoyed going to Cape Cod, going to the movies every week and staying busy. Jill loved to read and was a frequent visitor to bookstores; she liked to take walks, her favorite places were around Laurel Lake and McDowell Lake and going to the Edesia Cafe. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Jill's funeral services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks Chapel of the Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
