Jean M. Codding

She was preceded in death by her father Alexander Shaw Jr., mother Evelyn (Burwood (adpt.)/Drake), brother Richard E. Shaw, and sisters Kathleen Shaw and Sharon (Whitenett).

She is survived by children; Richard S., William A., Daniel E., Naureen S. (Hicks), Elizabeth J. (Mallet), Douglas A. Taylor and Mark A. Thompson, all born in Athol.  She has twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Jean was born in Athol, graduated from Athol High School in 1952, married, and lived the first half of her life in the Athol area, she then moved to FL where she lived for about 38 years.

Her greatest fulfillment was being a mother and (great) grandmother to her “chickadees”.

She worked in the local area at Simplex in Gardner and at the Advent Health hospital in Zephyrhills FL.

She was the matriarch, and foundation of her family, guiding her children through the cycles of life.
