With profound sadness and broken hearts, we announce the passing of Jason P. Riggs, who left this world far too soon at the age of 45 on October 20, 2026. Jason was a funny, outgoing, and big-hearted man whose presence could light up a room. He had a personality that was uniquely his own, a spirit that could never be forgotten, and a heart that always made room for others.
He was the kind of person who would lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it, never hesitating to help someone. No matter the circumstances, his generosity, humor, and willingness to be there for others were just a few of the qualities that made him so special. Jason found happiness in the simple things he loved, especially fishing and motorcycles. Whether he was enjoying time outdoors, talking with family and friends, or doing something he loved, Jason had a way of making memories that would last a lifetime.
Jason's friends meant the world to him. The friendships he built throughout his life were incredibly important to him, and the people he called his friends held a special place in his heart. He cherished the laughter, the memories, and the time spent together. His friends were more than just people in his life; they were a meaningful part of his world. He leaves behind many friends who will miss his humor, his outgoing personality, and the memories they shared with him. Above all else, his family meant everything to him.
His greatest pride and most cherished blessing was his daughter, Taylor Wentworth. The love he had for her was immeasurable, and she held a special place in his heart that could never be replaced. His love for his family was deep and genuine, and those closest to him knew how much they meant to him.
Jason leaves behind his beloved daughter, Taylor Wentworth; his mother, Cynthia Whittier, and her husband, Robert Whittier; his sister, Naomi Wood, and her husband, Paul Wood; his father, Patrick Riggs; his grandmother, Kathleen Fay; and many loving aunts, uncles, and nieces and nephews. Each of them carries their own memories of Jason and a piece of him that will remain in their hearts forever. Jason was predeceased by his beloved brothers, Shawn Riggs and Dan Riggs, whom he now joins in eternal rest.
The loss of Jason leaves an emptiness that words cannot fully describe. Forty-five years was far too short, and there will always be memories, stories, laughter, and moments that his loved ones will wish they could experience with him just one more time. Though his life ended far too soon, the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will live on through everyone who knew him. Jason will be remembered for his humor, his outgoing spirit, his love of fishing and motorcycles, his willingness to help others, his love for his friends, and, most of all, the love he carried for his family and his daughter.
Until we meet again, Jason, may you ride free, fish the waters beyond this world, and rest peacefully in the arms of those who went before you. You were loved more than words can ever express, and you will be missed more than you will ever know. Forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
