Jason Aaron Arcangeli, or as we fondly knew him, Tiger, J-Boy, or Jay, went about life with charisma, generosity, love, and a healthy dose of humor. Born on February 25th, 1971, in Gardner, MA, Jason spent his early life in Gardner, then Marietta, Georgia, before returning to his hometown after proudly serving in the Marine Corps. While he lived in Marietta, he graduated from high school and then attended Valdosta State University. After moving back to Gardner, he met his wife and love of his life, Nicki, and they tied the knot on September 12, 1998. The couple relocated to Westminster in 2006, where Jason continued to live his life to the fullest, enjoying every day until his passing on January 13, 2026.
Jason was a hardworking Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service for almost 30 years. He began in Gardner, MA, then finished out his career in Lunenburg, MA. He loved all the people on his routes, and they loved him. He was often heard whistling a happy tune as he delivered the mail, spreading cheer throughout the neighborhood. He was a former proud member of the Gardner Fish and Gun Club, where he enjoyed volunteering his time, especially barbecuing for the annual Veterans' Memorial Ride. He was also a member of the Fitchburg Social Club. When he wasn't volunteering, you could find Jason coaching his kids' baseball teams, caring for his grandparents, or planning his legendary annual 4th of July Party and Veteran's Day Out.
But what mattered most to Jason was his beloved wife, Nicki, and their two sons, Alex and Matt, and his son Julian. Jason loved to spoil his family and help others, no matter the circumstances. He would continually go out of his way to help others in need, whether it was building a ramp for a customer on his mail route or being a shoulder to cry on when life got tough. He was a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the New England Patriots. Jason was a very proud member of the United States Marine Corps. He was actively enlisted from 1992 to 1996 and then was in the active reserve until 1999. During his time in the Marine Corp he was trained as an aircraft mechanic, where he worked on H-1 Whiskey Super Cobras. He earned the rank of Lance Corporal. He also earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Secnav Letter of Commendation, and a Rifle Marksmanship Badge (Sharpshooter). As his family remembers him, they will think of his love for hosting events and making every family vacation a memorable one. He took pride in making sure his children had an unbelievable Christmas morning with his intricate present displays and perfectly wrapped gifts. Jason's life was a testament to the quote, "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen (Nelson) Arcangeli, and grandparents, Veronica and Donald Casavant. He is survived by his loving wife, Nicole Arcangeli, and their sons Alex and Matt, his son Julian and wife Esther, and their children, Griffin and Theo. His father, John Arcangeli, and his wife, Linda Arcangeli. His Father and mother-in-law, George and Brenda Babineau, His Step-Siblings Lorrin C. Hilfiger, John Hennemann, Jim Henneman, and Brandon Rana. Many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, extended Family, and Friends.
Let us remember Jason Arcangeli not with tears, but with a smile, remembering his generous heart, his loving and charismatic personality, and his funny anecdotes. Semper Fi Marine, Rest in Peace.
