James E. Hebert, born December 1st, 1965, in Fitchburg, MA, has completed his journey here on earth and began his next adventure on January 11, 2024. James grew up in Ashburnham, and graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1984, proudly served his country in the US Army as a mechanic before embarking on a career as a long-haul trucker. Retiring from his position as the owner of M & H Transportation, Jim found his second calling as a farmer. Papa’s Funny Farm is his pride and joy! Here, his love for animals and the outdoors truly shone through. His dedication to caring for his livestock was only outmatched by his enthusiasm for sharing his farm with others. As the famous quote goes, "The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” Jim embodied this sentiment in every aspect of his life. His infectious energy was also evident when hiking, skiing, fishing, tubing, or any other activity spending time with friends and family. Jim’s favorite pastimes were riding his prized Victory Motorcycle, taking his dog on bike rides, attending Native American Pow Wows, and playing with his grandchildren. Jim was also well known for his mechanical skills, and would often be occupied with working on something for someone. He was a lover of life and always embraced new experiences with an open heart and a keen sense of adventure.
James is survived by his two daughters; Heather Hebert and husband Ryan, Justina Johnson, husband Mike and children Logan and Cooper. Two sons; James Hebert and James Hawkins, partner Amanda and children Amy, Kailyn, Jaelyn, Liam, Bailey, and Harper.
