Irene D Fontaine

TEMPLETON- Irene D. (Racie) Fontaine, 95, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022. Irene was born in Athol on March 16, 1926, daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline (Gage) Racie. She graduated from Athol High School. She enjoyed wood crafting, flowers, bingo, cats, flea markets, tag sales, and church suppers. She was a busy grandmother. She is survived by two sons, Michael and Andrew Kalinowski, both of Baldwinville; a daughter, Carole Burke and her husband, Larry of Templeton; seven grandchildren, Grady Burke, Rachel Burke, Elizabeth Corral, Jacqueline Toth, Jennifer Toth, Michael Kalinowski, and Christine Kalinowski; several great grandchildren; a brother, Carlton Racie of Athol; a sister, Eleanor Dale of Erving; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Cleo Fontaine; a son, Thomas Kalinowski; and a daughter, Jane Toth. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 11:00am, Pine Grove Cemetery, Route 2A, Templeton, MA.
