HUDSON - Frederick Earl Compton, Jr., 72 of 178 Lincoln Street, Hudson, MA formerly of Athol, died Monday, June 26, 2006 in the Marlborough Hospital, Marlborough, MA. He was born in Gardner, MA, on September 10, 1933, the son of the late Frederick E. and the late Clara Mary (Carbone) Compton, Sr.. He grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School. Mr. Compton served in the U.S. Navy. He was empoyed at Raytheon for many years. He was a resident of Hudson for the past 35 years coming from Athol. He was a former member of the Athol-Orange Aero Club. He leaves several cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Carol A. (Brunell) Compton who died in 2001. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at 11:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol. A calling time will be held Tuesday from 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol, MA.
