Elizabeth Ann Starr

Elizabeth Ann Starr, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of faith, passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2026, at age 77. She is now at home with her Lord and Savior, where she longed to be.

Elizabeth was born on August 12, 1949, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She grew up in a military family, spending time with her maternal grandparents in Oklahoma and living in Germany and Hawaii while her father served in the Army, with Fort Devens as their home base. After her father retired, the family settled in Groton, Massachusetts, where Elizabeth graduated from high school and met Arthur, the love of her life. They married on September 30, 1967, and shared nearly six decades together.

Elizabeth began her career as a medical secretary before she and Arthur founded Starr Medical Management, a medical billing and consulting business they operated together for nearly 20 years. Their partnership was a meaningful and proud part of their life together.

An excellent cook and baker, Elizabeth especially enjoyed entertaining family and friends in her younger years. Later, she discovered a love of knitting and crochet, leading a church group where women gathered for crafts and fellowship. She also enjoyed journaling and personal Bible study.

Elizabeth’s faith guided her life. An active member of several churches, most recently Heritage Bible Chapel, she loved studying God’s Word, leading Bible studies, praying, and encouraging others. She looked forward to the promise of eternal life with her Savior.

Elizabeth treasured her family, especially her husband, Arthur; her son Robert Starr and his wife, Jill Starr; her daughter Terri Starr; and her grandchildren, Kassandra, Adam, Jessica, and Madalynn Starr. She took great joy in watching them grow and celebrating their lives.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband Arthur; her children and grandchildren; her sisters, Pamela Stelmack and Mary Lou Balis; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Betty Giovetti.

Elizabeth leaves a legacy of faith, love, generosity, and cherished memories that will live on in all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Clearway Crisis Pregnancy Center, Worcester, MA.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Heritage Bible Chapel, 182 Brooks Station Rd, Princeton, MA 01541. Her burial will be private at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon, MA. Please keep in mind that this is a celebration of Elizabeth's life, so please dress colorfully  

Elizabeth Starr's life was a beautiful testament to her faith, her love for her family, and her commitment to service. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
