TEMPLETON - Earlene Margret ( Howard ) Dickson , 89, of Templeton, Massachusetts passed away Friday, October25, 2019 in her home with family by her side. Earlene was born in Gardner, Massachusetts on August 5, 1930, the daughter of Earl and Lillian Howard. She was the one of 7 children – Patricia, Albert, John, Ann, George and Sheila. She is pre-deceased by all but her sister, Sheila Couture who lives in Florida with husband, Normand. On November 27, 1948 Earlene was married to the love of her life, Edward Hager Dickson, who pre-deceased her. The two met while working at “Brokleman’s Market” in Gardner. She leaves three children - Michael Dickson and his wife Darlene, Kathy Morrill and her husband Gene (Skip) and Maureen LeBlanc and her husband Roland. All three reside in Templeton, Ma. After raising her family she returned to the work force at “Premier Corrugated Box Company” in Fitchburg, Ma where she worked in Sales/Service until retirement after 25 years. Earlene was a crafter before crafting was in vogue. Her talents in the art of knitting were very well known to her family and friends. She was an avid reader and spent much time at the Templeton Library. Her greatest single joy was being with her 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. For decades she was a member of Holy Cross Parish in East Templeton Massachusetts. Funeral services will be private In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., SW120, Boston, Massachestts 02215.
