Dorothy E. Wheeler

Dorothy E. (Dodge) Wheeler, 84 of Athol, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Dorothy was born on August 4, 1940, in Dover, NH, a daughter of Dorothy E. Marcus. She was employed by the J.F. McElwain Shoe shop for 10 years. She then went on to work at L.S. Starrett Company for over 20 years, retiring in 2002.

She is survived by her daughter Laura McKnight and her husband Bill, with whom she resided; her son Larry Wheeler and his girlfriend Terri of Mebane, NC; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Marcus and his wife Pat, and Chuck Dodge.

She is predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Wayne A. Wheeler in 2011, and her mother, Dorothy E. Marcus in 2015, two brothers Lawrence "Larry" Marcus and her best friend of many years, Janet Rustausky in 2014.

Funeral services will be privately held at a later date.
