Deanie was Registered Nurse, beginning her career at Hahnemann Hospital in Worcester. She also worked in Bronx, NY before continuing her career in Whitefield, NH, where she met the love of her life, William "Bill" Wilson, M.D.
They married in 1958 and moved to Gardner in 1963, where they built a life together and created a family centered on love and faith.
Deanie was a devoted congregant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was a member of the local chapter of the American Cancer Society, and generously volunteered her time to help those in need.

In her later years, Deanie made close friendships with staff and residents at Heywood Wakefield Commons in Gardner and most recently at Alliance Health at Rosewood in Peabody, MA. Her nursing background never far behind, Deanie could be found stepping in to assist staff and her fellow residents on her daily walks at Rosewood.
