Gardner-Donna M. (Radziewicz) Stone, 73, died Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Heywood Hospital after a series of ailments.
She was the wife of the late, Peter Stone, who died in 2011.
Donna leaves her sons, Charles Stone of Belchertown and John Stone of Gardner; three grandchildren, Steven Jason and Charlies; three sisters, and their families, Vera and Victor Stanzynski of Windsor, NH, Mary Ellen Radziiewicz and Paul Dumanoski of Barre, and Barbara and Paul Gendron of North Kingston, RI.
She is predeceased by two daughters, Victoria J. Kelley, and Caroline E. Stone who lived in Gardner; two sisters, Sandra (Woolridge) Skinner, who lived in Colorado Springs, CO, and Cynthia Stewart, who lived in Orange.
She was born in Cornwall, NY a daughter of the late Charles and Hazel (Nordstrom) Radziewicz. Donna lived in Worcester until she was 10 and then moved to Gardner for the rest of her life. She was a 1968 graduate of Gardner High School. She worked as a sales clerk at W.T. Grants, where she met her husband Peter. She also worked at Eastwood Pines and Leo Lachance Center for 24 years in the Dietary Dept.
She was a CCD teacher for many years at Sacred Heart Church and donated over 9 gallons of blood to the Red Cross. In her later years, she enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, puzzle books, trips to the casino. She especially loved time spent with her family.
Donna was a helpful and charitable woman and tried to help anyone she could.
In keeping with Donna's generous and kind spirit; Please consider a memorial contribution to the American Cancer Society or the Jimmy Fund. in lieu of flowers.
Calling hours for Donna will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Mack Funeral Home, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
Her funeral will be held in the Mack Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
Her burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchednon, MA 01475.
