It is with a profound sense of loss that we celebrate the life of Donna Rousselle, a remarkable woman whose life was a testament of ambition, generosity, love and dedication. Born on May 30, 1958, in Athol, Massachusetts, Donna's vibrant spirit and unwavering resolve illuminated the lives of those she encountered. Her endearing personality, coupled with her charismatic demeanor, made her a beacon of light in our community and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled.
Donna's professional life was as diverse as her passions. After college, she spent several years in Pompano Beach, Florida, where she found joy working as a groundskeeper on a golf course. She later returned to her hometown of Athol and served as a loyal Mail Carrier for the Postal Service. Her hard work and dedication saw her rise to the position of Steward at the Athol Post Office, an accomplishment she held dear. However, it was her hobbies that truly defined Donna's zest for life. She was an avid fisherman, an enthusiastic biker, a blossoming woodworker, a gifted artist and she enjoyed Saturday morning tag sales. But above all what was most important to Donna was caring for others. It is no surprise that she spent many years cooking Christmas meals at the Athol Senior Center and later transitioned into a delivery driver for those meals.
Her generous spirit and loving nature have left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her. Donna is survived by her mother, Joyce Rousselle of Athol, siblings, Lori Kaltner (Pat) of Athol, Kelly Vella (Gary) of Gainsville Georgia, Keith Rousselle (Krisi) of Vaughn Montana, Robin Gleason of Athol and a very large extended family. Donna is pre-deceased by her Father, Richard (Dick) Rousselle. We take comfort in knowing that her life was not in vain, but a radiant example of a life well-lived.
As we mourn the loss of Donna, we encourage you to share your memories, stories, and photos on her memorial page. In doing so, we can honor her memory and celebrate the remarkable life she led.
