Gardner-David M Feltmarch, 80, died Monday, June 19, 2023, at Heywood Hospital after an illness.
He leaves his daughter, Julie Campbell, and her husband, Michael; two grandsons, Michael P. Campbell and Marcus C. Campbell all of Gardner; his girlfriend, Brenda Hannon, of Jaffrey, NH, and many cousins.
David was predeceased by two brothers, Richard C. Feltmarch in 2008 and Dr. Alan B. Feltmarch in 2019.
He was born in Gardner, on November 23, 1942, a son of the late Birger C. and Martha L. (Amundsen) Feltmarch. He graduated from Gardner High School, Class of 1960, and attended Mount Wachusett Community College. He served in the US Army as a PVT. David worked as a Quality Control Engineer for the Norton Company in Worcester for over 26 years. After his retirement from Norton, he worked as an assistant manager for Staples in Gardner and Leominster for several years.
He enjoyed skiing, hiking, dancing and maintaining the family homestead in his younger years. David spent many summers in Wells, ME, where he had a love of the ocean. He also had a great love of dogs, especially Doc and Happy, his Shelties.
Calling hours for David will be on Monday, June 26, 2023, from 9:30 -11:00 a.m. in the Mack Funeral Home, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
A graveside service will be held in Wildwood Cemetery, West Street, (RT 68) Gardner, MA at 11:30 a.m.
