David G. Beeler

April 5, 1941 — May 3, 2026

Athol

David G. Beeler, a lifelong resident of Athol, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026. Born in Greenfield, MA on April 5, 1941, David's life was a testament to resilience, perseverance, and the undying spirit of hard work. As the late poet, Robert Frost once said, "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." And so, David lived his life, always moving forward, always embracing the journey.

David graduated in 1960 from Mahar Regional High School. David spent 23 years at UTD, until they closed their doors, as a machinist, an occupation that perfectly matched his innate meticulousness and dedication to precision. His work was his craft, and he was a master at it. David's contributions to the machinery business are a testament to his commitment and dedication towards his chosen field. He then worked for Maria Assumption in Petersham, MA until he retired. His work ethic was unparalleled, and his determination was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was a man who believed in the beauty of his dreams and worked tirelessly to make them a reality.

David was a loving husband of 65 years to Glenda Beeler, his wife. His love for his wife was a beacon that guided him through life's ups and downs. Their bond was a testament to love's enduring power, and it served as an inspiration for those around them. David's legacy is not just in the work he accomplished, but also in the love he nurtured and the lives he touched. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. He leaves behind his daughter, Leanne Leblanc; his son, Kirk Beeler; and a lot of wonderful and very loved nieces and nephews, as well as six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his parents, Frederick C. Beeler, Sr., and Frances (Kruel) Beeler; brother, Frederick C. Beeler, Jr.; and his sister, Majorie Markuns.

In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." David embodied these words and lived them to the fullest.

May his life continue to inspire those he leaves behind and his memory forever be a guiding star. We encourage you to share your memories, stories, and photos of David on his memorial page, celebrating his life and legacy.
