Darlene Lee Wright

ATHOL - Darlene Lee Wright, 61 of Athol, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Brighton, MA. She was born in Gardner, on September 15, 1959, the daughter of the late Dana Wright and the late Shirley (Springer) Wright. She grew up in Gardner and graduated from Gardner High School. Darlene loved cooking, and sharing her culinary treats with friends, family and her employees. She was an avid bird watcher and kept a flower garden which was always filled with blooms that would attract her favorite; hummingbirds. She was especially proud of the pair of orioles she had managed to coax into the yard last year and this. She enjoyed long car rides with friends and especially loved stopping at all the farm stands and little shops along the way. She leaves her daughter, Samantha Boulerice and her husband Steven Mason of Athol; a sister, Donna Iwicki and her husband Bob Iwicki of Nashua, NH; a brother, Dennis Wright of Ft. Meyers FL.; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many, many good friends. Her laughter and generous spirit will be missed. Burial in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner will be private.
