PHILLIPSTON - Beatrice E. (Stone) Walker, “Gramma Bea” 79, of Phillipston passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020 in the Life Care Center of Leominster. She was born February 3, 1941 in Gardner, the daughter of the late John C. Stone and Marion (Mason) Stone. She grew up in Baldwinville and attended Narragansett Regional High School. She married her husband, Bradford W. Walker in 1959 and began a family in 1960. She returned to school at MWCC in 1990 and received her degree in Early Childhood Education. She taught preschool in the Westminster School District for a few years, and worked at a daycare and Athol. She enjoyed telling stories of her childhood memories, decorating for every holiday, loved to bake and family meant everything to her. She was a member of Holy Cross Church. She enjoyed reading, yard sales, puzzles (jigsaw and crossword), time with grandchildren and great grandchildren, cruises with her husband and Jimmy and Louise along with winters in Florida with family. She leaves two sons, Bradford Walker Jr., Gordon Walker and his wife Sherry; three daughters, Jackie Rumery and her significant other Craig Brodeur, Jeannette Elsevier and her husband Scott, Jamie-Sue Scibilio and her husband John; she leaves eight grandchildren Michael Rumery and his wife Briana, Samantha Rumery, Matthew Elsevier and fiancé Jessica Cormier, Jesse Walker, Ashley Walker, John Scibilio IV, Gianna Scibilio, Daniel Baker-Walker, two special children, Jason and Abigail Haley, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Bradford W. Walker, a grandson, Stephen Rumery, a son-in-law Robert Rumery, three sisters, Katherine Whittier, Betty Desmond Owen, Margo LaBarge, and five brothers, John Stone, Paul Stone, James Stone, Peter Stone, Robert Stone. A funeral mass will be held Friday, October 2, 2020 at 10 AM in Holy Cross Church, 26 Lake Ave., East Templeton. Burial will follow in Lower Cemetery Phillipston. Calling hours will be held Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 5 to 7 pm at Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Phillipston Fire Department, 90 State Road Phillipston, MA 01331.
