Arnold "Fenton" McKenney

Arnold Fenton McKenney, or as many knew him, just plain "Fenton," chose to exit stage left on June 28, 2026. Born on February 10, 1951, in Framingham, MA, Arnold was a charismatic soul who had a knack for turning the mundane into the marvelous. He was a spirited individual who lived life in high gear, much like the custom cars he so skillfully built and raced.

Arnold's creativity was not limited to his garage; it flowed through his entire life, touching everyone he met. As Oscar Wilde once quipped, "You can never be overdressed or overeducated." Arnold embodied this sentiment in his own unique way, seldom seen without his signature camouflage and hunting caps and always eager to share his knowledge of machining and gunsmithing.

A compassionate man with an undeniable love for his family, friends, and his loyal dog, Mad Max, Arnold was also a renowned member of the Westminster and Southborough Rod and Gun Clubs. His passion for hunting and gun smithing was only rivaled by his love for custom car building. A machinist by trade, Arnold had an uncanny ability to make anything with moving parts sing.

His custom car build was so impressive it was featured in magazines and won numerous car shows and races. To Arnold, these were more than just hobbies, they were a testament to his creativity and determination. As Mark Twain once said, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started." Arnold got a head start and never looked back.

Arnold is survived by his son, Arnold III "Arnie", Daughter-in-Law Sarah (Benson) McKenney, His Daughter Sarah Lynn McKenney, His Sister Sandy Mckeon, and Brother-In-Law Dan Mckeon. Along with his many friends and "Adopted Family". He joins his beloved wife, Mary McKenney, and his parents, Evelyn Friese and Arnold Sr., on the other side.

Arnold's departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirited, compassionate, and creative legacy lives on in those he touched. To quote Dr. Seuss, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." With Arnold, it wasn't just something that happened, it was a wild, wonderful ride.

Everyone is welcomed to attend Arnold's Celebration Of Life being held at the Westminster VFW on Saturday, August 1st, 1pm-4pm . (Potluck, No outside drinks allowed, Bar service from VFW.)
