Anthony J. Grigonis

April 24, 1946 — July 23, 2022

Templeton

Anthony ("Tony") Grigonis, 76, died peacefully at UMass Medical Center, Worcester, MA., on July 23, 2022,
from a sudden illness. He was loved by his family and those dear to his heart, and they were all with him until
the moment he departed.
Tony was born and lived in Worcester, Massachusetts. He moved to Florida as a young man and lived there
for many years while working construction. He was very close to his family and enjoyed his parents'
company while they spent winters with him during their retirement years.

When Tony retired, he moved back to Massachusetts and settled in Templeton. He was a charismatic person
and liked by all who knew him. He spent his days with his life companion (he told her every day that she
"looked lovely"), had an ongoing cribbage tournament with his sister (he was winning, by the way), was a
huge Red Sox fan watching every game, and enjoyed keeping busy running errands for his friends and
family. He had a great sense of humor and liked to pick on his sister (as little brothers do) to get her riled up
until she started laughing. His nieces claim him as "the greatest uncle ever"; because he was fun to be with
and they laughed together all the time.

Tony leaves behind his sister, Beverly (Grigonis Czajkowski) Hill of Templeton, MA; his life companion Marion
Adams of Gardner, MA; his niece, Suzan Czajkowski and her fiancé, Bruce Leung, of Natick, MA; and his niece,
Sandy (Czajkowski) Warner and her husband, Joe Warner, of Hampton Falls, NH. He is predeceased by his
parents, John Grigonis & Rose (Arsenault) Grigonis.

A private burial is planned. Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 central Street, Gardner, Ma has been entrusted with Anthony's care.

Tony's family is grateful for the care and compassion he received while hospitalized.  The medical staff was
incredibly kind, sensitive, caring, and thoughtful to both Tony and his family.  So, in lieu of flowers, please
make a memorial donation in Tony's name to: UMass Memorial via donate.umassmemorial.org or UMass Memorial Office of Philanthropy 365 Plantation Street, Biotech One Worcester, MA 01605.
