Allen Richard McNall

Allen Richard McNall, 68, passed away at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA, on July 9, 2026, following unexpected health complications. He was surrounded by his loving family as he entered eternity, where he was reunited with the love of his life, the late Wendy McNall.

Allen met Joann McNall, his first wife, at 33 in Ayer, Massachusetts. They had a baby boy on the way within a year. He was Randy McNall. They moved to a beautiful house in Lunenburg, MA. Shortly after, their second child, Allie McNall, was on the way. They all shared great times while it lasted. Allen was born in Ayer, Massachusetts on March 7, 1958, to the late Richard and Louise (Bosworth) McNall. He shared his childhood with his sister, Faye McNall, grew up in Bolton, MA, and graduated from Worcester Trade. 

Throughout his life, Allen worked in various roles within the construction industry. He was truly a man of many trades, skilled in everything from welding to carpentry, though one of his absolute favorite activities was cutting down trees. Allen was also an accomplished motocross athlete with many wins to his name. He took up riding on the road and loved to ride until he physically couldn't anymore!! 

Later in life, Allen found love a second time with his late wife, Wendy McNall. The two met at a diner where Wendy was working. Despite having recently fallen off a roof and being on crutches, Allen used his charm to his advantage, and Wendy fell hard for him. Through their marriage, Allen gained a stepson, Jake Fortier, and five stepdaughters: Olivia Sias, Rachel Fortier, Michelle Oakes, Coco Jarrett, and Cheyenne Fortier. Allen shared a unique and special relationship with each of his stepchildren. He and Jake spent hours having deep conversations about life. He bonded with Olivia by playing the guitar, and with Rachel through singing and making people laugh. Allen spent time with Michelle [insert details of activities with Michelle]. He and Coco loved watching Impractical Jokers and playing pranks that would inevitably make Wendy angry, especially at the dinner table, earning him the affectionate nickname “Stumpy the Grump.” With Cheyenne, Allen enjoyed riding his motorcycle, tending to the chickens, and scouting for deer hunting spots. Whenever the family gathered, they loved watching movies, swimming in the pool, and listening to Allen play his guitar—an activity he passionately continued even after losing a finger in a work accident. 

Though Allen and Wendy separated for a few years, they ultimately reconnected and fell in love all over again. They enjoyed fishing and camping together up until her final breath, sharing a rare and deep devotion. Allen was also known for forming deep, lifelong friendships. He loved hunting, fishing, and simply enjoying life with his friends, who truly became an extension of his family. Known to many as a jokester and a knucklehead, Allen lived life to the fullest without fear. He was fiercely loyal, always ready to show up in a heartbeat or offer a listening ear to any friend in need. He was also a member of the Royalston Rod and Gun Club for several years, and was an avid hunter who proudly mounted both a deer and a bear. Allen's absolute best friend was his beloved dog, Duru. He spoiled her completely, taking her to the airport every morning to run, and was rarely seen anywhere without her. 

Allen was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Louise McNall, his second wife, Wendy McNall, and his step-granddaughter, Faye Estelle. 

He is survived by his sister, Faye McNall; Christine Lee Frost, Faye's daughter; his first wife, Joanne McNall; and his two biological children, Allie and Randy McNall. He is also survived by his six stepchildren: Olivia Sias and her husband Jonathan, Jacob Fortier and his wife Lacey, Rachel Fortier, Michelle Fortier and her partner Eric Oakes, Coco Jarrett and her husband Isaac, and Cheyenne Fortier; and his eight step-grandchildren: Spencer Jarrett and Desmond Jarrett (who affectionately called him "Grumpy"), Daisy Estelle, Bexley Oakes, Declan Fortier, [Insert Jake's two other children's names], and Eowyn Sias. Additionally, Allen leaves behind many longtime friends, including Robert Albright, William Forrest and family, Richard Forrest and family, Robert Forrest and family, Cathleen (Harkins) Callahan and family, John Sultez and family, Susan Douglas, Rob (find last name) and many, many more! 

Allen will be laid to rest on Saturday, July 25th at 10 am in Greenlawn Cemetery in Baldwinville, Massachusetts. Followed by a reception at a yet-to-be-determined place with pizza and a cash bar or byob.
