Westminster-Adam Richard Butterfield, 38, died Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Hartford Hospital, in Hartford, CT, after a brief illness.
He leaves his father, Scott Butterfield of Westminster; one brother, Chad Butterfield of Keene, NH; one sister, Alicia Butterfield and her partner, Stephen Grant of Baldwinville, two nieces, Haylee Butterfield of Baldwinville, Alivia grant, and a nephew Nicolas Grant; his maternal grandfather, Richard Tait of Fitchburg; uncle and aunt Ronny & Cindy Duval of Leominster, and several additional aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Adam was born in Fitchburg on June 16, 1984, a son of the late Cheryl (Tait) Butterfield.
He was a 2003 graduate of Oakmont Regional High School. He worked for the DPW for the City of Gardner.
Adam enjoyed music, movies, and going to Hampton Beach. He had a heart of gold, he literally gave the shirt off his back to a total stranger. He especially loved to spend time with his family and he loved his niece Haylee dearly.
Funeral services for Adam will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Mack Funeral Home, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
Burial will follow in the Woodside Cemetery, 9 Narrows Road, Westminster, MA 01473.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Montachusett Veterans Outreach Center, 268 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440
